Entry Requirements


Students must be over 18 years of age,

Student must have successfully completed Year 12 in Australia or overseas

Latest proof of English proficiency (if applicable)

Entry requirements will be checked at enrollment in line with the RTO’s Student entry requirements, selection, enrollment and orientation policy.

Assessments

Assessment Methods

Assessment is structured throughout the course. If students are unable to achieve competency, additional support is provided through mentoring and access to re-assessment as outlined in our policies and procedures. Assessment requires achievement across all tasks to demonstrate competence and includes:


Direct observation i.e., simulated off-the-job situation that reflects the workplace.

Product based methods i.e., reports, displays, work samples, role plays, and presentations.
Portfolio i.e., written documents, photographs, videos or logbooks.
Questioning i.e., written or oral questioning, conducting interviews and questionnaires.

Course Credit

There are 4 levels in this course, including

Elementary
Pre-Intermediate
Intermediate
Upper Intermediate

The General English course includes the following components:

Theme-based language development from core textbook which every student needs to purchase
Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing Skills Extension
Regular reviews and testing of what has been covered throughout the course
Regular educational and cultural excursions
