Orientation

Before commencing your course, you must attend Orientation. Orientation will give you all the important information you need to study at Sydney Metro College and about Australia.

Orientation is designed to help you get the best out of your student experience by providing you with information about Sydney Metro College support services, academic and professional development, activities, student management system, learning management system, your faculty, and discovering your new campus.

Orientation will cover things such as, important Sydney Metro College contacts, class timings, college policies and procedures, student services and everything else you need to successfully at Sydney Metro College. Our Student Services staff will inform you know when your orientation date and time is. Sydney Metro College offers Project Management, Business and Accounting Courses in Sydney and Melbourne.

During Orientation you will become acquainted with your new campus and learn important things that will assist you to be a successful SMC student.

• All new students are expected to attend on-campus activities during orientation.
• If you are commencing your study at SMC as an international student, you must attend Orientation to obtain important information regarding your enrollment, study and other requirements.

• Note: Students must bring in their passport, OSHC copies and CoE on Orientation day.
• You can also speak to Reception or the Marketing and Admissions Team if you have any questions in regards to orientation.

ESOS Act 2000

The Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and the National Code of Practice regulate the delivery of education and training services to protect and enhance Australia’s international reputation, and provide consumer protection for international students. The ESOS Act only applies to international students studying in Australia on a student visa. It is not applicable to students who are studying in an offshore location who are not studying under a student visa as issued by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).
DIBP has produced an Easy Guide to ESOS and a National Code Explanatory Guide, which provide further details in relation to the ESOS Framework and the National Code.
